Ace Combat 8 First Launch Part Three

Seriously freaking amazed by all of the graphic work they did on this release. No joke. But going back to ass-slow planes is a bit of a drag, can't wait to level up a bit more.

Ace Combat 8 First Launch Part Two

Picking up the session after a phone call dropped the first part. Goddamn it. The graphics tho, omg they are gorgeous. Flying around clouds now feels like how it *actually* feels in a cockpit - like big shapes and 3-d objects to play with/around/inside of and use more tactically for cover/etc than ever before. Very volumetric.

Launch day! Let's fire this up and get thru the inevitable opening sequence/character intros and see how it plays. Gonna miss all my over-modded birds from AC7 tho, this starter plane was dogshit-slow. Ugh.

Zero Company Next

I don't know why, but this level kinda messed with me a few times before I finally failed-upwards and out of it. Yikes. Liking the new operators a lot better, really needed one with charisma and not just a big gun.

Getting a quick session in this morning before I head off to the dentist. Not much better than the last session, I kinda suck at turn-based strategy games like this.

Getting a quick session in this morning before I head off to the dentist. Fun, and I have a much better sense for how this game works now. But if I haven't finished this by the time Galactic Racer comes out (I was a huge SW: Podracer player), pretty sure it'll slip down under the fold quickly in my 'recentlly played' list.

Getting absolutely bodied by the computer. I am starting to figure out this whole turn-based combat system thing tho. Clearly more a story game than an action game in many respects. I sorta borked the points up to this so next stream will be a completely new run (I just won't post anything before the point this one ends at until then). Caveat blastor.

Up in the new SW:ZC game again and fumbling like I had one leg sawed off. Not sure I'm totally getting the turn-based strategy thing but will keep hitting my forehead against the table for a while and see if it starts bleeding less.

Private Noob, Reporting for Duty

Star Wars: Zero Company launched this last week and I finally get to dive into it. Badly, of course. Watch me get my a$$ handed to me by robots and stumble thru menus that a 5-year old could master much more quickly. Yay incompetence!

Training w/Experimental Aircraft

Up in the squirrely bird experimental craft. Mostly clean run, but got tagged by one too many SAMs late in the game. Definitely a regret.

Ace Combat 7 Hijinks

Going up for a shot with AC7 and I think my favorite F/A18 variant. Getting shot down. I have no idea why I play for shit on PS5 but can body this stuff all day on the Steam Deck (even at the lower resolution/frame rate). Another gaming regret!
